Document structure

Part I — Online sales to consumers (B2C)
Part II — Sales to business clients and groups (B2B)

Part I — B2C online terms

These Terms govern the online sale of admission tickets to Chaplin's World between consumers and Chaplin's World SA, a Swiss public limited company with share capital of CHF 200,000, whose registered office is at Route de Fenil 2, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey (Switzerland), UID CHE-100.468.361 and federal number CH-660.0.618.000-4.

Important — Before confirming an order, the Purchaser is invited to read these Terms carefully. Acceptance of the Terms is required to complete any online purchase.

1. Definitions

  • "Purchaser": any Consumer who orders a Ticket on the Website.
  • "Ticket": a named or unnamed admission ticket issued in electronic form and granting access to Chaplin's World in accordance with the conditions of the selected offer.
  • "Chaplin's World": the leisure venue dedicated to Charlie Chaplin, located at Route de Fenil 2, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey (Switzerland), operated by Chaplin's World SA.
  • "Terms": these B2C online General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
  • "Consumer": any natural person acting for purposes outside their trade or professional activity.
  • "Website": the official Chaplin's World website available at www.chaplinsworld.com.

2. Scope and acceptance

The Terms apply exclusively to sales of Tickets concluded with Consumers on the Website. Any specific offers or terms displayed during the ordering process supplement these Terms and, in the event of a conflict, prevail for the product concerned.

The Purchaser represents that they have the capacity to enter into the contract and have read the Terms before validating the order. Electronic acceptance of the Terms constitutes unconditional acceptance of their content.

3. Offers and types of tickets

Ticket categories, validity periods or dates, access restrictions, prices and any specific terms are described on the Website at the time of ordering.

The Purchaser must check the selected offer, including the date, visitor category, number of Tickets and any required supporting documents. Offers are subject to availability.

4. Ordering process and formation of the contract

To place an order, the Purchaser selects the desired Tickets, provides the requested information, reviews the order summary and may correct any errors before final validation.

Before payment, the Purchaser confirms that they have read and accepted the Terms. The final validation button indicates that the order entails an obligation to pay.

The contract is formed when payment is accepted and an order confirmation is sent electronically to the address provided by the Purchaser. Chaplin's World SA may refuse or cancel an order in the event of fraud or attempted fraud, a payment incident, obvious unavailability or a manifest error affecting the offer or price.

5. Prices

Prices are stated in Swiss francs, inclusive of all taxes. The applicable price is the price shown in the order summary when the order is validated.

Changes in prices or taxes after confirmation do not affect an order already concluded. Unless otherwise stated, the Ticket price does not include meals, transport, personal expenses or additional services.

6. Payment

The total price is payable when the order is placed. Payment is made using one of the payment methods offered on the Website.

The order becomes final only after payment has been confirmed. If payment is refused or fails, no Ticket is issued and the Purchaser is invited to use another payment method or contact their payment service provider.

Payments are processed using appropriate security measures. Payment data is processed by the relevant service providers in accordance with their own terms and Chaplin's World SA's Personal Data Protection Policy.

7. Confirmation and delivery of tickets

Once the contract has been formed, the Purchaser receives an order confirmation and the Ticket(s) in electronic form at the address provided during the purchase or, where this function is available, in their customer account.

The Purchaser must check that their email address is correct and, if necessary, consult their spam folder. If the Ticket is not received, the Purchaser must contact Chaplin's World SA sufficiently in advance of the visit date and provide the information required to identify the order.

Chaplin's World SA does not send Tickets by post, fax or SMS unless otherwise specified for a particular offer.

8. Use and inspection of tickets

The Ticket must be presented either digitally on a mobile device or as a legible printout on blank A4 paper. The barcode or QR code must be complete, legible and unaltered.

Each Ticket is valid for the number of admissions, date or period and visitor category stated on it. Proof of identity, age or eligibility for a particular price may be requested where provided for by the offer.

Unless otherwise stated, a Ticket may be used only once. Only the first valid presentation grants admission. Reproduction, unauthorised resale, counterfeiting or fraudulent use of a Ticket may result in its cancellation and refusal of admission, without prejudice to Chaplin's World SA's rights.

Unless expressly provided for in the offer, leaving the premises is final and re-entry is not permitted.

9. Amendment, exchange, cancellation and refund

Subject to mandatory law and the specific terms of the offer purchased, Tickets may not be amended, exchanged or refunded at the Purchaser's request, including when they are unused. Swiss law does not provide for a general right of withdrawal for purchases made online.

Where an amendment, exchange or cancellation option is expressly offered for a type of Ticket, its conditions and any fees are stated at the time of purchase.

If the service is definitively cancelled for reasons attributable to Chaplin's World SA, Chaplin's World SA informs the Purchaser of the available solutions, which may include rescheduling, a credit voucher or a refund. This provision does not apply to partial closures, temporary unavailability or reasonable changes that do not prevent the main access to Chaplin's World, subject to mandatory law.

10. Access to Chaplin's World and internal regulations

Access is subject to opening hours, venue capacity, safety instructions and the internal regulations applicable on the date of the visit. Certain areas, attractions or services may be subject to restrictions based in particular on age, height, health, safety or operational requirements.

Chaplin's World SA may refuse admission or require a visitor to leave in the event of dangerous, fraudulent or unlawful conduct or conduct contrary to the internal regulations. No refund is due where this measure results from conduct attributable to the visitor, subject to mandatory law.

11. Changes to or interruption of the offer

For reasons of safety, maintenance, weather conditions, visitor numbers, special events or operations, Chaplin's World SA may change the opening hours, programmes, routes, attractions, shows or available facilities.

A partial change that does not materially affect the main service does not automatically entitle the Purchaser to a refund. Where the main access becomes impossible, the measures set out in Article 9 apply, subject to the circumstances and mandatory law.

12. Effective date and amendment of the Terms

These Terms apply to orders concluded on or after 1 September 2026.

Chaplin's World SA may amend the Terms at any time. The version applicable to an order is the version accepted by the Purchaser when validating that order. Any new version applies only to orders concluded after it takes effect.

13. Personal data protection

As data controller, Chaplin's World SA processes the Purchaser's personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act of 25 September 2020 on Data Protection (FADP). The processing activities, data categories, purposes, recipients, retention periods and any transfers abroad are described in the Personal Data Protection Policy.

Within the limits provided for by the FADP, any data subject may exercise, in particular, their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and, where the statutory conditions are met, data disclosure or portability. Requests may be sent to Chaplin's World SA, Route de Fenil 2, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey, or by email to contact@chaplinsworld.com.

14. Liability

Chaplin's World SA is liable for direct damage caused by a culpable breach of its contractual obligations, within the limits of applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, Chaplin's World SA is not liable for indirect damage, loss or theft of personal belongings, interruptions attributable to telecommunications networks or the Purchaser's service providers, or the consequences of using a Ticket in breach of these Terms.

Nothing in the Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under mandatory law, in particular in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

15. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or non-performance caused by an unforeseeable or unavoidable event reasonably beyond its control, such as an official decision, natural disaster, epidemic, conflict, major breakdown, serious security incident, or essential interruption of transport or energy supplies.

Chaplin's World SA informs the Purchaser where reasonably possible and takes reasonable measures to limit the consequences of the event. The Purchaser's mandatory rights remain reserved.

16. Complaints and customer service

Any complaint relating to an order or Ticket must be submitted within a reasonable period to Chaplin's World SA — Customer Service, Route de Fenil 2, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey, or by email to contact@chaplinsworld.com.

To facilitate processing, the request must include the order number, the Purchaser's contact details, the relevant visit date and a sufficiently detailed description of the complaint, together with any useful supporting documents.

17. General provisions

If any provision of the Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. To the extent permitted, the affected provision is replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects its purpose.

Chaplin's World SA's failure to exercise a right immediately does not constitute a waiver of that right.

18. Governing law and dispute resolution

The Terms and the contracts concluded under them are governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory provisions applicable to the Consumer.

The parties endeavour to reach an amicable solution before commencing proceedings. Failing this, the competent courts are determined in accordance with the applicable mandatory rules, including those protecting the Consumer's forum.

Part II — B2B terms: business clients and groups

Chaplin's World SA — Version dated 1 September 2026

Seller: Chaplin's World SA, a company limited by shares incorporated under Swiss law, Route de Fenil 2, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland — UID: CHE-100.468.361 — sales@chaplinsworld.com

Article 1 — Purpose, scope and definitions

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (the "GTC") apply, with effect from 1 September 2026, to the sale of tickets, guided tours and ancillary services organised or marketed by Chaplin's World SA (the "Seller") to clients acting in the course of their business or on behalf of a group (the "Client"). Unless expressly stated otherwise, group conditions require at least ten (10) paying participants.

The GTC form an integral part of every quotation, visit confirmation and order. They prevail over the Client's terms and conditions unless expressly accepted in writing by the Seller. In the event of inconsistency, the special terms set out in the quotation or visit confirmation prevail over the GTC.

For the purposes of the GTC: a "Ticket" is an admission document valid on a specified date or during a specified period; a "Guided Tour" is a tour conducted by a guide appointed by the Seller; "Ancillary Services" include, in particular, catering, paid visitor materials, shop vouchers and meal vouchers; an "Order" means all Services confirmed by the Seller.

Article 2 — Quotations, orders and formation of the contract

Booking requests must be sent to the Reservations Department by email to sales@chaplinsworld.com, by post to the Seller's address or through the form available at chaplinsworld.com. The Client must provide the necessary information, including the requested Service, the date or validity period, the number and category of participants, and its invoicing and contact details.

The Seller's quotations are valid for the period stated in them and remain subject to availability. The contract is concluded when the Seller sends the Client written confirmation of the visit or Order. Any subsequent amendment must be agreed in writing.

2.1 Group pricing conditions

  • School group: at least ten (10) paying pupils and at least 80% of participants aged between 4 and 25 inclusive; one teacher admitted free of charge for every five (5) paying pupil Tickets.
  • Non-school children's group: at least ten (10) paying children and at least 80% of participants aged between 6 and 15 inclusive; one adult accompanying person admitted free of charge for every five (5) paying child Tickets.
  • Group of persons with disabilities: from five (5) paying participants; one adult accompanying person admitted free of charge for every five (5) paying participants.
  • Group of wheelchair users: from five (5) paying participants; one adult accompanying person admitted free of charge for each wheelchair user.
  • Other groups: one adult admitted free of charge for every twenty (20) paying Tickets; children under 6 admitted free of charge up to 20% of the total booked group size, excluding the driver.

The criteria are assessed on the basis of the number of participants actually admitted. If the conditions are no longer met, the price applicable to the actual group size and the applicable free admissions will be recalculated.

2.2 Open-dated Tickets or Tickets valid for a period

These prices are available from fifty (50) paying Tickets, adults and young persons combined. Tickets are valid on the dates shown and may be used individually. They do not guarantee admission on high-attendance days if maximum capacity has been reached. Unless otherwise agreed, they are issued and dispatched after payment in full.

2.3 Dated Tickets

The request must be received at least five (5) business days before the visit. The Order is subject to availability and becomes final only when the Seller sends its written confirmation.

2.4 Guided Tours

The request must be received at least fifteen (15) business days before the visit and remains subject to availability. Unless special conditions apply, one guide is provided for a maximum of fifteen (15) participants for groups and twenty-five (25) participants for school and children's groups.

Article 3 — Prices, invoicing and payment

Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF), including VAT where applicable. Unless otherwise stated, they do not include delivery costs, personal expenses, insurance or services not specified in the confirmation. The price stated in the Order confirmation is binding.

Unless advance payment or special terms apply, the balance is paid at the ticket desk on the day of the visit. Where deferred payment is expressly granted, the invoice is payable within thirty (30) days of its issue date. Unless otherwise agreed, open-dated Tickets or Tickets valid for a period must be paid for in full before they are issued.

Payment may be made by bank transfer or payment link for Orders handled by the Reservations Department, and by cash or payment card at the ticket desk. Any bank charges are borne by the Client.

Article 4 — Late payment

Where a due date is specified in the confirmation or invoice, the Client is in default upon expiry of that date without any further notice. If no due date has been specified, default occurs after notice has been given. Overdue amounts bear default interest at 5% per annum in accordance with Article 104 of the Swiss Code of Obligations, without prejudice to the Seller's right to claim any proven additional loss.

After informing the Client, the Seller may suspend performance or delivery of current Orders and require advance payment for any new Order until all overdue amounts have been paid in full. Reasonable and substantiated collection costs may be charged to the Client.

Article 5 — Delivery, inspection and use of tickets

No handling fee is charged for collection at the ticket desk. For postal delivery by tracked mail, the flat-rate charges are CHF 7 for Switzerland and CHF 19 for France, subject to any special terms agreed in writing.

Tickets may be supplied in paper form or, where offered by the Seller, in digital form. The Client must promptly check the Tickets received and report any error to the Reservations Department. The risk of loss or damage passes to the Client when the Tickets are handed to the Client or to a person designated by it. Where Tickets are posted to the address provided by the Client, the Seller is responsible for appropriately selecting and instructing the carrier, subject to mandatory law.

The Client is responsible for safeguarding the Tickets and distributing them to the beneficiaries. Reproduction, unauthorised resale, falsification and fraudulent use are prohibited. A Ticket that has already been used, cancelled, expired or is illegible may be refused.

Article 6 — Amendment or cancellation by the Client

Any request must be sent in writing to the Reservations Department during business days. It takes effect only after written confirmation by the Seller.

  • The number of participants may be increased subject to available capacity, with a corresponding price adjustment.
  • If the number of participants falls below ten (10), the individual rate applies to the remaining Tickets and all free admissions are cancelled.
  • A reduction in the number of guides must be notified at least seven (7) days before the visit. Otherwise, the number of guides originally confirmed remains payable.
  • Any cancellation received less than seventy-two (72) hours before a visit without a guide results in 100% of the cancelled Order being charged.
  • Any cancellation of a Guided Tour received less than seven (7) days before the visit results in 100% of the cancelled Order being charged.

These amounts constitute liquidated damages reflecting, in particular, reserved capacity, costs incurred and reduced opportunities for resale. The Client remains entitled to prove that the actual loss is substantially lower; in all cases, the court retains the power to reduce an excessive contractual penalty in accordance with Swiss law.

If the Client is more than fifteen (15) minutes late without prior notice, the Seller may release the guide or guides. The price of the confirmed Guided Tours remains payable.

Article 7 — Amendment or cancellation by the Seller

The Seller may adjust opening times, routes, areas, equipment or services for operational, safety or maintenance reasons, or on the instructions of an authority. A non-material adjustment does not give rise to a price reduction.

If the Seller cancels the Order or makes a material change for a reason attributable to it, the Client may reject the proposed replacement and obtain a refund for the affected Services. Any additional rights arising under mandatory law remain reserved.

Article 8 — Return of unsold tickets

8.1 Open-dated Tickets or Tickets valid for a period

The Client may request the partial return of expired and unused Tickets, provided that they are returned by registered mail within fifteen (15) days after the end of their validity and a new Ticket Order is placed. The return is granted solely as a credit note, capped at 25% of the value of the returned Tickets. Without a new Order, no credit note, refund or exchange will be granted. If the return changes the price bracket of the initial Order, the corresponding difference will be deducted from the credit note.

8.2 Dated Tickets

The Client may request the partial return of issued and unused dated Tickets, provided that they are returned by registered mail within fifteen (15) days after their validity date. The return takes the form of a credit note equal to 10% of the total amount of the initial Order. The credit note is valid for one (1) year from its issue date, is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Article 9 — Liability

Each party is liable for direct loss caused to the other party by a culpable breach of its contractual obligations. To the extent permitted by Swiss law, the Seller is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of turnover, profit, clientele or reputation.

Any exclusion or limitation of liability is inapplicable in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence by the Seller, its governing bodies or auxiliaries, and wherever liability cannot be excluded under mandatory law, including in the event of death or personal injury. Article 100 of the Swiss Code of Obligations remains reserved.

The Seller is not liable for participants' personal belongings, unless otherwise required by law. The Client must inform participants of the applicable admission, safety and conduct rules and is responsible for inaccurate information supplied to the Seller.

Article 10 — Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or non-performance resulting from an external event that was unforeseeable when the contract was concluded and whose consequences cannot be avoided by reasonable measures. Such events may include natural disasters, major fires, epidemics, general interruptions to transport or energy supplies, external industrial disputes, acts of war, civil unrest or decisions by an authority.

The affected party must inform the other party within a reasonable time and take appropriate steps to mitigate the consequences. The affected obligations are suspended for the duration of the impediment. If the Service cannot be performed on the scheduled date, the Seller will, where possible, offer postponement or a credit note. If no reasonable solution is possible or the impediment continues for more than thirty (30) days, either party may terminate the affected part of the Order; amounts received for Services not provided will be refunded, less Services already performed and duly substantiated non-recoverable costs, subject to mandatory law.

Article 11 — Data protection

The Seller processes the personal data required to manage enquiries, Orders, payments, access to the premises, partner services and business relations in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, other relevant rules.

The Client must ensure that it is authorised to disclose the data of the relevant participants and contacts to the Seller and must provide them with the required information. Data is disclosed only to employees, service providers and partners who require it to perform the Services, and to authorities where required by law. It is retained for as long as necessary for the stated purposes and to comply with legal obligations.

Data subjects may exercise their rights under the FADP, including requesting access to and rectification of their data, by writing to Chaplin's World SA, Route de Fenil 2, 1804 Corsier-sur-Vevey, Switzerland, or to contact@chaplinsworld.com. Further information is provided in the privacy notice published at chaplinsworld.com.

Article 12 — Communications and evidence

Unless mandatory law or an express requirement for a particular form applies, email communications satisfy the written-form requirement under the GTC. Confirmations, invoices and correspondence stored on a durable medium may be produced as evidence, subject to assessment by the competent authorities.

Article 13 — Final provisions

If any provision of the GTC is void, invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain valid. To the extent permitted, the parties will replace the affected provision with a valid provision that most closely reflects its economic purpose. Failure to exercise a right immediately does not constitute a waiver.

The Seller may amend the GTC for future Orders. The applicable version is the version supplied or made available to the Client when the contract is concluded. A subsequent amendment does not affect an already confirmed Order without the Client's consent.

Article 14 — Governing law and jurisdiction

The GTC and every Order are governed by substantive Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

Subject to mandatory places of jurisdiction, the ordinary courts of the Canton of Vaud have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the GTC or an Order. Before commencing proceedings, the parties will endeavour in good faith to reach an amicable settlement.
