A breath of nature among century-old trees
The 14-hectare Manoir de Ban estate was once a diverse area with farms, stables, orchards and even a wine press. Under the ownership of Charles Émile Henri de Scherer in 1840, it was transformed into a haven of peace, complete with lawns adorned with exotic plant species.
Today, during your visit to Chaplin's World, you can stroll between the century-old trees steeped in history in the peaceful atmosphere where Chaplin himself found inspiration and rest. Enjoy a walk with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva and the Alps. You'll understand why the Chaplin family chose to settle at Manoir de Ban.
